The 400 Club

PURPOSE

The London Welsh RFC 400 Club Lottery is organised and promoted by London Welsh RFC Supporters Club to raise funds for the benefit of the Club’s activities, tours or other worthy causes as determined by the Supporters Club. It was first established in 1973 with a tour to Sri Lanka. In 2025 it helped fund the Senior Performance Squad to Spain, the Women’s team to Swansea, the Under 10’s and 12’s to Frankfurt and the Under 11’s to South Wales.

How do I join?

How much does it cost?

An annual fee of £60 or twelve-monthly instalments of £5.

 

Prizes

Prize money will be 50% of the allocated funds available at the time of the Draw with 25% for the first prize, 15% second and 10% for third. With a targeted membership of 300 the first prize could be in the region of £400.

 

Where does the money go?

The residual 50% will be used to finance suitable Rugby Club initiatives. This will be subject to annual review to ensure financial sustainability of the Scheme.

 

How do I know if I have won?

Winners’ names will be published via the Rugby Club’s various social media platforms, video displays in the Clubhouse, a ticker tape stream of the Club website and announced at each Home fixture by the media team. The scheme administrators are responsible for verifying winners with the official draw results.

How many times can I enter?

There is no limit as to how many numbers a participant may subscribe to.

When are the draws made?

Twelve monthly Prize Draws will be held in public at a selected Home fixture using a digital random number generator in accordance with a Schedule of Draw dates available on the LWRFC website.

 

Who does the Draws?

The Scheme Administrators in conjunction with the media team during halftime at a selected home fixture.

 

How old do I have to be to participate?

No person under the age of 16 may participate, in compliance with legal requirements.

Is the Scheme registered?

Yes. The lottery is registered with the London Borough of Richmond in accordance with the Small Society Lottery Registration Scheme under the Gambling Act 2005.

 

Is the Scheme GDPR compliant?

Yes. There is full compliance with applicable GDPR data protection laws. No special category data (e.g., health, religion) is collected.
