LONDON WELSH WOMENS

Welcome to London Welsh Community Rugby. We combine the proud history of the London Welsh club with a modern, inclusive approach to rugby. Our squad is one of the oldest women’s clubs in existence, reaching a landmark 40th anniversary in 2026. Run in a welcoming and friendly environment, our squad comprises beginners, returners, students, locals and Welsh exiles. Our players range from 15 to 50+. If you’ve never played rugby before, you’re in exactly the right place.

ALL WOMEN AGE 15+: Wednesday 7:30 - 9:00pm at Old Deer Park​

MATCHES: Womens XV play in NC2 which is a grassroots level division. Matches are on Sunday afternoons at Old Deer Park and around South West London.

FAQ​​

  • I am new to rugby, can I play? Yes. We are fully inclusive for all experience levels. If you've never played before, we introduce rugby slowly, we never through you in the deep end.

  • What kit is needed? Boots, mouthguard, and athletic wear that can get muddy.

  • Do I have to join? Taster sessions are free. For regular training and matches, each player must be a Playing Member of the club, packages are available here.

  • What does Membership give me? Membership of London Welsh provides free access to 1st XV matches, the International Ticket ballot, 10% discount at the bar and much more.

  • Do I need to be Welsh? Absolutely not. Whilst the club has a Welsh ethos, we are open and welcome everyone.
