U16 & U18 Awards

On Friday 3rd May over 125 guest filled the Pagoda room in anticipation of the end of season awards dinner for the U16 & U18’s.

After dinner the guests we were welcomed by Director of Community rugby, Gareth Vaughan Jones. With a captive audience, he used the opportunity to inform the guests of where we are as a Community Club and how we appreciate all the support the parents have given throughout the years that their boys have been playing at the club.   We welcomed next years’ Colts (current U16’s) to the evening and made sure they were aware of the experience they would be having as a Colt at the club, which involves International fixtures; social events; pre season training; and a great environment for them to develop as rugby players.  We are still looking for any companies who are keen to see the Colts prosper and are looking to support this age group with sponsorship.  The Colts over the past couple of years have had County players and delivered over 10 players to the Druids in that time.  A great evening had by all, and great to have our Club Chair, Danny Griffiths, present, along with Senior Men’s coach Andy Evans.

U16 awards presented by Youth Chairman, Joe Bachour and Senior Men’s squad player, Rohan Pixley:

  • Most Improved Player of the Year – Louis Deveaux
