London Welsh Druids are on the road again this Saturday and head to Wimbledon and Putney Commons to play London Cornish Dukes, the club’s 3rd XV. Dukes’ first game of the season was a walkover against London Scottish and the second week also drew a blank when the match against London New Zealand was postponed. They finally got their campaign underway at the end of September with a 7-3 win away to Belsize Park.
The 2018/19 season finished with Dukes one place, and just two league points, ahead of Druids. Both teams won nine out of their 16 games but Dukes picked up more bonus points along the way.
Druids start to the season has produced four wins in four games and gives them a seven point lead over Ealing at the top of Merit Table 1.
