The last round of the MMTs took our 2nd XV to Hurlingham where a depleted squad met a well organised Hammersmith & Fulham team and suffered their first defeat of the season. Druids were chasing the game from the opening minutes when the home team drove over for a try and although they narrowed the gap to two points in the second half they couldn’t get ahead and finished 17-12 down.

This Saturday is chance to put things back on track when London Cornish come to ODP. This season has been a struggle for our visitors, just one win in seven outings (50-17 at home to Rosslyn Park 4s) with the last scheduled game conceded to HAC.

Although Cornish are at the foot of the MMT Premier table they are equal on points with Chiswick 2s and just give points cover the bottom four places meaning that they still have plenty to play for and a chance to escape the relegation zone.

Druids expect to be back to strength for this round of fixtures and with the added benefit of home advantage this promises to be an entertaining match. Hammersmith & Fulham top the league with 43 points from seven games but close behind them are Belsize Park and London Welsh with a game in hand and 41 and 37 league points respectively.

Kick off is likely to be 1pm and will be confirmed later in the week.
