This Saturday afternoon we offer a warm welcome to Hammersmith & Fulham’s 2nd XV for the latest round of Middlesex Merit Table Premier fixtures. Our visitors are currently second in the table, just one place, and five league points, ahead of Druids and a single point behind league leaders Belsize Park.

There was little between the two teams when they met at Hurlingham Park earlier in the season. Hammersmith & Fulham ran out 17-12 winners that day, one of their 11 league victories this campaign. They come into this game on the back of a 17-22 defeat to HAC with the only other loss so far being at home to Belsize Park.

Druids have also suffered two defeats but have played one game fewer with the postponed away match against Belsize Park still to be played. Last Saturday they travelled to Chiswick and claimed a 13-7 win to keep the league title within reach.

London Welsh, like all the rugby community, were deeply saddened by the death of Jack Jeffrey after he was injured playing for Evesham RFC last Saturday. As a club this loss was even closer to home as Jack’s brother Charles is a member of our Druids team.

Before the game kicks off we will have a minute of applause in memory of Jack and to show our support for Charles and his family.
