As the squad returned last week for pre season 2022/23 testing, they were watched over by George Smithies and Aaron Vousden – Founding Directors of new London Welsh sponsorship partners innDex Ltd.
A Welsh company of origin innDex is at the forefront of the technology driven revolution in the construction industry. It was George and Aaron’s vision to transform the construction industry through the use of modern technology, challenging the siloed nature of many large scale projects. A few short years on (founded in 2018) from inception and innDex now offers a suite of over 30 products supplying 62 companies with a combined value of £5.8 bn; and they are by no means done yet!
George & Aaron approached London Welsh in May 2022, with Inndex being founded in Wales and both founding Directors being Welshmen in London, having a strong affinity with London Welsh RFC. George had visited Old Deer Park on match day several times in the 2021/22 season and had been taken by the club community.
In discussions with the board and Commercial Director Jonathan Shankland, it was clear that there were many synergies between club and company: ambition, the strive for excellence and a shared set of values.
It is with great pleasure that as we enter life back in the national leagues and having completed 4 promotions in 4 seasons, we go into battle in the 2022/23 season with innDex by our sides as our latest official club sponsorship partner. innDex will become closely involved with the club community at all levels, aside from providing crucial funding they will also work closely with the London Welsh Careers HUB, the Supporters Club and will be regular faces at club events and match days.
We cannot wait to see how this new relationship blossoms and look forward to introducing innDex to our other primary sponsors in the coming weeks.
London Welsh Commercial Director, Jonathan Shankland, commented on the new partnership:
“We are absolutely delighted to be working with Inndex and especially with George and Aaron. This is a further strategic partnership for the club with a significant financial commitment on the part of innDex. I met George at the beginning of the Summer and could immediately see the synergies that we shared, the common passion that we held and crucially the ambition and drive from two organisations that have progressed hugely over the past 4 years. The company is already known to the extended London Welsh family and is absolutely flourishing – the exact type of business that we wish to have on board as we look to move to the next stage of project reset. We are looking forward to having innDex with us on the journey and indeed to London Welsh becoming increasingly part of the Inndex story. “
George Smithies, Co-Founder at innDex, added:
“Calling both Wales and London innDex hubs is incredibly important to us! Our journey started 4 years ago at the same time that London Welsh had a mountain to climb. The journey for both of us is still huge but support is the one thing that will get us both to achieve our goals. We feel privileged to be on this journey together.”
“It’s not the team with the best players that wins. It’s the players with the best team”
There will be a lot more about innDex in the coming weeks and months and I would encourage all club members, supporters, players and sponsors to take time to reach out to George and Aaron and to learn more about the company. George and Aaron will be seen around the club on Match Day and at Club Event.
Here is to our mutual success.
