London Welsh Comedy night – 11 November

The London Welsh Supporters Club Comedy evening is coming up fast. It will be take place in The Pagoda Room at 19:30 for 20:00 on 11 November.

Michal, the ODP chef is happy to open the hatch and provide Burger and Fries or Thai Chicken Curry Served with Rice for £9.00 per head.  Turn up early for this treat!

The line-up of professional comedians arranged by James who does the Bearcat  Comedy club at the Turks head will be:

John Ryan who will be our MC, he uses his acerbic wit and seemingly encyclopaedic knowledge of the world around him to keep any audience on their toes. His East End Irish upbringing gives him the rare ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. John’s reputation for thinking on his feet and confidently and cleverly adapting his show to any audience has also ensured him many TV warm-ups such as Later with Jools Holland, Strictly Come Dancing, National lottery. He travels all over the world performing.

John will be supported by:

Noel James who is an experienced, very original, comedian from Swansea, Wales, who has played – and often headlined – most comedy clubs in the UK as well as performing at major festivals, and gigs abroad in places like Dubai, Shanghai, Berlin, Cape Town and Canada. He has performed sketch shows on BBC Radio Wales, and various TV comedy and acting roles in both English and Welsh. Noel’s material is highly original, cerebral, with some wordplay; some people think it’s clever but at the same time it has a wide appeal. He can also perform in his mother tongue, the Welsh language but probably not at ODP. He is said to be the best in the business.

The Raymond and Mr Tompkins Revue using lightning-fast choreography with uber swift editing in an amazing collision of quality entertainment. An overload of velvet, sandals and multi-hued wool provides a startling accompaniment. Headlining at venues from the Falklands to Ashby De La Zouch, they’ve circumnavigated the planet, spurting amusement. If you like music you’ll like it. If you like silliness and daft middle-aged men dancing, you’ll love it.

Paul Caffrey who has starred in a number of TV shows such as Impractical Jokers Russell Howard’s Good News, Stand Up Central, 50 Funniest and The Dog Ate My Homework. Paul is also an accomplished radio presenter and guest. He is an award-winning comedian and headlines at the biggest comedy clubs in the country. He has performed four critically acclaimed Edinburgh shows as well as major music festivals including Reading, Leeds, V Festival, Bestival and Latitude.

We cannot wit to see you all at what will be a wonderful evening of comedy!
