A Happy Christmas and New Year to all London Welsh supporters and friends of our club. Here is a festive message from our club Chaplain, the Reverend Paul Hill.
The help I have received from Pete and Haydn with the London Welsh Hub has been extremely helpful in a time of my life where I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do.
I reached out to the Hub after hearing about how useful it had been to a few other boys, and how they had moved into different roles using the Hub network.
When I approached the Hub I was looking for help with job searching. I had recently dropped out of for me, I was looking for more guidance on a career change not necessarily just employment.
The Hub found me a job that suited my skills through the wide network that the Club has. It happens that the Director of the company I work for is a former player at the Club
The Hub gave me the ability to explore many different options and after speaking to numerous I met with Pete and Haydn and talked through my career to date, as well as my questions about the future.
When approached, I was coming to the end of my time at Loughborough University and was very open about my next move, as my degree in Geography and Sport Management gave me complete flexibility.
It was a perfect afternoon for the clash of the Exiles at Hazelwood. Whilst London Welsh had already started their league season this was London Irish’s first game of the campaign.
