Welsh win at Barnet to stay top
Five converted tries continue run of bonus point wins.
A wet and windy afternoon in North London didn't stop London Welsh notching up their tenth consecutive bonus point win. Cheered on by 100 travelling supporters, five converted tries ensured that Welsh maintained their lead at the top of the Herts/Middx 1 table.
Ben Francis opened the scoring on ten minutes with the first of his two tries, Lloyd Davies added the conversion. Barnet fought back five minutes later with an unconverted try but it would be a further 20 minutes until Welsh added more points. Cai Griffiths muscled over for the second try and his fellow prop, Sam Mahoney, added the third on the stroke of half time. Lloyd Davies converted both.
