London Welsh Women have secured a couple of exciting media opportunities over the next month, set to bolster their profile and to maintain the impressive recruitment efforts seen this season.
Firstly, LWWRFC have been invited to feature as the guest team in the studio for March 20th’s Rugby Tonight on BT Sport Rugby. Appearing in full kit and receiving a shout out, the players might also be called on to help the presenters and guests with moves and demonstrations.
Then, at the end of the month, the RFU are working with The Telegraph on a story about their Inner Warrior programme and have chosen London Welsh to host an exhibition training session, and to provide interviews. The session will be run by an RFU coach and England’s Rachel Burford.
Being chosen for this opportunity is testament to the huge success of the recent Inner Warrior sessions that London Welsh Women have organised, and the resulting boost in registered players. Their January session saw over 15 new players attend, many of whom were brand new to rugby, and a number of whom who are now training regularly with the team.
Look out for London Welsh Women - coming to a screen or paper near you soon!
