Clive Thomas, a longstanding member of London Welsh Rugby Club died on the morning of the 19th of January 2019 aged 82.
Born and raised in Swansea , he came to London having been recruited by the Civil Service. He worked for the Ministry of Defence and he spent 3 years in Australia and a further 2 years in Brussels while with NATO.
Clive joined the London Welsh Youth Orchestra in the late '60's and they would perform annually at the Royal Festival Hall. This Choir became the London Welsh Chorale. His love of Classical music continued throughout his life.
He joined London Welsh RFC in the late '60's and was a regular attender at home games with his long standing friends - Glyn Evans and the late Wyn Bevan and may others for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife Peggy. Clive was a wonderful London Welshman and will be sorely missed by his generation of friends.
