Welcome to the youth section of London Welsh RFC.
We offer a very welcome and opportunity for all boys to play rugby at a reasonable standard in the Herts/Middlesex leagues as well as a wide variety of friendly fixtures in and around London on a Sunday Morning.
The aim of all teams at “Welsh” is to play an exciting brand of rugby and to build up a great team ethos both on and off the pitch. You will become part of a club with a great history, known throughout the world, but one where we are also looking forward especially by developing our youth players to the highest standard they can achieve.
The u13 team play and train at our home at Old Deer Park, Kew, whilst the u14 to u16 teams play at Pools on Park Pitches next to Pool on the Park Swimming Pool, Twickenham Road, Richmond. Players benefit from training sessions given by players from the professional side of the Club, who play in the RFU Premiership, which is something none of our rivals can offer. You will, once you become a member, get access to free tickets and your parents cheap tickets to their games. Your parents will also get the chance to apply for home International tickets of both England and Wales.
We encourage our players to apply to for selection to the Middlesex County team and, when they finish with us, to transfer to the Senior Amateur Teams who are also on this website.
We are looking for all players of whatever experience whether you have just started or have played since you are 5 and are a top player at your school or another club. Please contact the relevant age group coach or contact me (see club contacts below) and we will be happy to answer any questions you have.
